Dr. Lehr graduated magna cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, New York, in 1984, then attended medical school at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where he graduated with distinction in 1988. Dr. Lehr went on to complete his five year General Surgery Residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is currently board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
In over 21 years of private practice, Dr. Lehr has performed thousands of operations covering a full range of general surgical procedures, including breast surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, hernia surgery, and surgery of the gastrointestinal tract.
Dr. Lehr is very involved in medical staff leadership, having served as Chief of Staff at Broward Health North as well as Chairman and member of numerous hospital committees. He is also a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Laparo-endoscopic Surgeons, and the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
